British Minister for Culture to Convene Meeting on Maccabi Tel Aviv Supporters Prohibition
A law enforcement official from the central England region has called for an urgent reexamination of the decision to prohibit Maccabi Tel Aviv's fans from attending the upcoming game.
The commissioner, who supervises the police department, states that this appeal aims to verify whether the ban is suitable, necessary, warranted, reasonable, and a balanced measure to accomplish a legitimate aim.
"This should involve consideration of every and any appropriate, alternative options," the official emphasizes.
The commissioner has also asked to examine the written decision and suggestion from the safety committee, as well as the police assessment.
He stresses, however, that the final decision rests with the advisory group and the police.
