Loyal supporters of the actress are demanding that a individual who leaped a fence and touched the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past media personnel and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a promenade accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though official papers showed that he was set to be present on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

History of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile includes clips of him interrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney show in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is evidently a legal violation," commented an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Followers Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented another comment on Instagram.

Several fans also faulted security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals requested social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande appeared startled when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Fans at Wicked premiere

Hundreds of fans had assembled in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore mall, including several who had queued for as long as many hours before it started.

The movie, to be released on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-film version of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected relationship between two contrasting witches.

The production itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning film of 2024 in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, winning two for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
