Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
